BURTON Albion’s 2022/23 pre-season schedule will include a warm-weather training camp in Portugal – including a game against Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

The Brewers will return for pre-season testing at the University of Derby on Friday June 17, prior to their full return to training the following week at St George’s Park on Monday June 20.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side will then fly out to Portugal for an intensive eight-day pre-season training camp in Vilamoura, which will include a trip to Alcantarilha to play Lee Johnson’s side at the Amendoeira Golf Resort on Friday July 1 (11am kick-off local time).

Albion supporters can watch the match in Portugal free of charge, however there is extremely limited capacity at the Resort where Hibernian are located for their pre-season preparations.

There is space for approximately 200 supporters at the venue, who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be staff and stewards on hand to assist supporters upon their arrival at the resort. Unfortunately, there is no seating available, and it is standing only.

Please note that Burton Albion would not be responsible for any supporters who travelled that are unable to get access to the game due to the capacity being full.
